Mr. Ni specializes in electronics engineering for patent protection. Mr. Ni's expertise covers a variety of areas in electronics engineering, especially, optoelectronics, sensors, and semiconductor devices and manufacturing processes.

Mr. Ni began his career in intellectual property in 2004, and joined CSPTAL in 2005. He was qualified as a patent attorney before CNIPA in 2006. Mr. Ni received a short-term training on U.S. patent practice in a US IP law firm in 2017.

Mr. Ni acts on drafting and prosecution of patent applications. Mr. Ni also provides legal services such as patent re-examination and invalidation, and other affairs concerning intellectual property rights. Mr. Ni is also familiar with the prosecution procedures and requirements before EPO and USPTO.

Mr. Ni was awarded “Most Valuable Attorney” (in China) by a worldwide top-2 mobile phone manufacturer in 2013. One patent drafted and prosecuted by Mr. Ni won China Patent Award in 2017. A patent portfolio of FinFETs in U.S. from one of our clients, in which most patents were drafted and handled by Mr. NI, was ranked by Lexinnova the first place in terms of quality among multinational companies such as Intel and IBM. In 2021, ranked in the list of “The World’s Leading Patent Professionals 2021 (IAM Patent 1000)”

Before joining CSPTAL, Mr. Ni received his B.S. degree in EE from Tsinghua University in 2001, and M.S. degree in EE from Graduate School of Tsinghua University in 2004.

Mr. Ni is proficient in Chinese and English.
